Was wäre wenn jeder, der da ist,

den Zufall aufhebte und

alles teilte was er hat

die Freiheit, den Reichtum.

und die willkommen hiesse

die eben nicht so viel Glück hatten

zur richtigen Zeit am richtigen Ort geboren zu sein

“Yoqallitu” is an homage to Lucio Meldendres, aymaran artist and songwriter from Bolivia, who was my husband and father of my son. He wrote this song in aymara for our then baby-son.

I dedicate my painting Achachilanakax to the Aymara people. Taqe chuymampi.

So many layers
Each a historie
An encounter
Was it the joy of a bird’s song
That made the mark

The forest stands equanimously
Between heaven and earth
Stretches its branches to the light
That breaks in foliage and ferns
The roots deep in moist earth

tender sweet little child
I still feel and see you
your open tiny hands
stretched towards the sky

I simply floated away, effortlessly, marveling at this underwater world in all its blues and greens, coral reds, yellows and oranges.
